What to Eat After A Wisdom Tooth Removal

Having your wisdom teeth removed is a rite-of-passage that most people go through in their late teens. While not everyone has to have their wisdom teeth removed it is important to have some food prepared for the week following the procedure when you can’t eat solid foods. what to eat after you lose your wisdom teeth

Wisdom Tooth Recipes

Broth

For the first day after your removal you will not be able to eat much of anything. Some warm broth will probably be the only thing you will be able to keep down. There are several options for broth, but we recommend that you plan ahead and purchase some true ramen broth from your local noodle shop!

You can even freeze it before the procedure if you think it’s going to go bad.

Homemade Apple Sauce

Once you are feeling a little better, apple sauce is a great dish that is packed with both flavor and nutrients. But don’t eat that stuff that’s packed with sugar from the grocery! Make your own, or better yet have someone else make it for you.

This recipe is fairly simple and absolutely scrumptious.

Hummus

The popular party dish has made it into nearly every grocery store in America. Stock up on hummus and soft pita bread for the later days in the week.

Pureed Soup

You can pretty much roast any vegetable, mix it with some broth, puree it and you have a soup going! Some of the best vegetables for roasting are tomatoes, butternut squash, pumpkin, and red pepper. Search through FoodGawker and Epicurious for recipes.
