Best Places to Watch “the Game” (any game) in Maricopa County

If there’s one thing that the greater Phoenix area has plenty of, it’s sports fans. Luckily, there are also plenty of sports bars and pubs with accommodations for them. Regardless of where you are in Maricopa County, you can find a place that has your team’s game playing. Here’s a list of some of the best around town.

The Draft Sports Grill

The sports bar with a modern twist, The Draft offers a modern decor with craft beers and signature dishes available to order. There are so many flatscreens and projectors that your eyes won’t know where to look. There’s not a seat in the house that doesn’t have a great view of the game. Find them at 1130 W. Grove Avenue in Mesa, just north of the 60 by Fiesta Mall. When you get there, try the crab artichoke dip for starters and if you’re football fansfeeling really hungry, go for the Draft Burger.

Coach’s Corner

This one’s great for catching the game fever when you can’t actually be at the game, because it’s nestled between Chase Field and Talking Stick Resort Arena (formerly US Airways Center). It’s also a great spot for a pre-game drink or a post-victory celebration. While you’re there, try the pub classics, like the Philly Cheesesteak, or one of their many varieties of mac n’ cheese.

Blue 32

Named by CNN as one of the 101 best sports bars in the nation, Blue 32 is a sports bark with style. Regardless of where you’re sitting, you can see five screens with usually five different games happening at once. The menu is also full of fresh burgers, steaks and seafood. They also stock several craft beers on tap. For a more upscale experience on game day, check out one of their four locations in the East Valley. You can find them at blue32sportsgrill.com.
